I recall many collectors mentioning that they actually prefer dirt and the occasional burn mark on chips. I think they said something about adding a little 'history' to the chips. Of course I was pushing cleaning chips at the time.

Therefore, I would suggest that chips with burns on them should be labeled as 'historized' rather than 'damaged'.
