I agree. I was simply pointing out what I look for when considering a bid on an eBay auction. I always consider the cost of shipping and the shipping policies before I bid. If I am in at a decent price on an auction and the seller has reasonable policies about shipping I will consider bidding on other auctions that the seller is offering. I don't see multiple chip lots that often. At least not lots where I have enough interest in all the chips to bid. Most of the multiple chip lots I have seen is where a seller put in 1 maybe 2 good chips and threw in a bunch of junk chips to increase the offering price and give the illusion that you are getting more. I will add though, I haven't done much bidding on eBay lately so I do not know what is going on now. Most of my multiple orders come from winning bids from several of one sellers auctions. Usually, if I win one auction I will contact the seller right away and give him/her a heads up that I have other bids pending. Usually they will be very receptive to waiting till the other auctions close before closing the deal. In fact, several times I have had the seller suggest to me that I wait to send payment till the other auctions close. This is where the value of reduced shipping comes in. Usually these sellers will combine orders under one shipping charge. That is one thing you should look for or inquire with the sellers about. See if they offer this. I have had a couple say no, in the past. Needless to say, I never bought from them again.
