Many of us on the East Coast [myself included] would love to see a convention here. We are for most part at least sensible in understanding that it is not economically viable. A large portion of the collector base is in Las Vegas, California and Colorado, all on the west coast. The amount of casinos and venues for collecting, trading, gathering and harvesting also lie there.
The reasons for leaving things the way they are are just too numerous.
If I recall, before I started collecting there was a show in Atlantic City which unfortunately did not have the expected response. Attempting a convention here could proove to be disasterous.

I may never have the opportunity to attend a national/inernational convention as a result of my business. While I would love to see a convention happen in my "backyard", I realize bringing this to fruition would take more than just a few good ideas.
