... lots of members in NJ, MI and Mississippi would love to see a convention (even a Mid-year Convention) in their area, but who's going to do the WORK? I keep reading one post about having the convention in Reno, but have not yet seen one ounce of information about room rates/availability.

The next very important factor to remember is that most of the display cases used at the show are kept in Las Vegas, and most of the "Big Time" dealers are from Nevada and California.

I've been to four club conventions (setting up twice) and would like to continue seeing the convention held in Las Vegas each year. I still like Jim Reilly's idea, though, about a mid-year convention at another location.... (would take a lot of planning, though).
