Nevada is in the process of changing over all their old boring license plates to a new much nicer plate.
It works like this. When your plates are due for renewal this year, they will send you the exact same plate you had in the old style, only in the new style. If you had a regular number, or a personalized plate it doesn't matter, they send you the same number. The only exception is if you had a special issue that wasen't on the old base plate. ie: UNLV, Lake Tahoe, UNR, firefighter, etc.
We have 5 cars, 4 with personalized plates.
This plate I've had for over 10 years, and is the first new style for us.
