1. Never, ever, tip up front!
2. I usually tip $1 to any cashier that makes an effort above and beyond just pulling the requested chip from her drawer.
3. If there is a concerted effort to help a collector, I will tip more. This means several dollars for when the cashier goes to the main vault to ask and especially when they are successful.
4. I have tipped (also called 'toke' or 'toked') as much as $20.00 for a real find. Like the Colorado Belle $5 rack chip with 8 inserts instead of 12.
5. As I have always said.....Ask, ask, ask. What is the worst they can say, No?
