I have found casino ashtrays still priced at under $1 at resale shops in the area. Actually 39c or less, if they have any. Rummage sales they are 25c or 50c most of the time.

Checking antique stores over the years, locally, has produced ZERO casino chips and three engraved poker chips.

I have found the "coin" shows have a number of dealers who will have casino chips now. If you find a big show, like the annual one here every April, there will usually be six to ten with casino chips displayed. I ask at almost every booth and have found some with chips and tokens under the table because they don't have space to show everything.

I found some old chips at a postcard show. (go figure?)

But one more tip that has worked for me. I carried six chips in a little clear page and showed them to people. "Hey I collect casino chips, do you have any old ones laying around the house, or stuffed in the dresser?" Some folks gave them to me. Others I pay a reasonable price. Since most of these people are in the bowling alley or at the restaurant, I usually buy them a beer. So I'm probably paying more for these chips than they are worth. ;-) But now and then someone will go on a cruise and bring something back. At least four different people, will bring back chips from Las Vegas when they go. A couple I know has found dice at two rummage sales. (my record is 0 for 0)

The whole idea is letting everyone you know, that you collect casino items.
