I like Archie's grading system and I support the club adopting it as our standard. It's simple and covers the range of conditions enountered. I'm not in favor of a separate grade for damaged/cancelled chips. I think damaged/cancelled chips should be described with the appropriate grade and specific adjectives for that chip; i.e. drilled, notched, warped, cracked, missing insert, etc.
