It is still a member to member transaction no matter how it is consummated. I would think that the return policy should be upheld. Personally, I will stand behind anything I sell or trade if the buyer/trader is dissatisfied, member or not. On an auction transaction I would charge back the cost of eBay fees and shipping to the returnee, I think that it is only fair that they absorb these costs.
