...more than a year's worth of intentional assaults on this hobby as it is (not like coins,) hidden affiliations, and we're supposed to say "welcome brother"?!?

Actions tell truth. His have in the past. They will in the future. His place in the history of chip collecting might well be "the guy who tried to slab casino chips and make money doing it".

I suppose that would be a notable distinction. ...hopefully it will be a novel notable, not a significant notable.
