Dear Fellow Collectors:
A lot of you know me, as I have been a member of CC>CC for a few years and often buy and sell on Ebay. I am honest and honorable. I now find myself in an unpleasant situation. I would appreciate your comments/opinions/suggestions on this transaction:
I won the following auction: See link.
I paid and received the chip as shown in MY scan below:
As it is easy to see, the chip was from the excavation when the Dunes was torn down. I sent the chip back to the Seller, explaining the fact that the chip was from the excavation and should have been described that way. It was not in "GOOD" condition. I requested a refund and alternately offered $20 as an appropriate value for this chip.
Here is the response:
"Rich, your chip is in the mail. It is a collectible good condition chip.the chip is not
a flawless or 100% condition in which I never stated it was. Weather it is from the
dig or from the casino table that has no matter. If you were unsure about the chip
or had any questions you should not have bid.
Please share your thoughts with me. What would you do if you were in my shoes?
By the way, I have very little energy for negative things! Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Rich
