Sure, I remember the old Bellflower shows. Brenda and I have been to two of them. That's where I met you, and Gene and Arlene Grossblatt, Doc Myers and Ernie for the first time. They were terrific weekend shows ... and my guess is they still are in your new location at Arcadia ... and I wish you the best of success for the future. It was at one of the Bellflower shows that the suggestion that someone ought to put together a larger show in Las Vegas was first discussed... and hence the annual club conventions were born at the Aladdin more than ten years ago.
My point was/is that folks who are not within a reasonable driving distance to the many chip shows that take place in today's environment may be unable to attend multiple scheduled chip shows during the same year unless they live relatively nearby ... so they must choose between those that are economically available.... which may be at the expense of the International convention. You and many other Californians are fortunate to live close to Vegas so that you can get to all of them. I don't think that's the norm for the rest of the country (or out of the country) however.
Just thinking out loud on this end as to why so many CC & GTCC tables are reportedly still unsold at this stage of the game... and what the club officers plans are to encourage filling up the empty table spaces. I for one don't want to see a 75 table show this June in Las Vegas. Do you have any suggestions Jim?
