I know you have newspapers out there... I've seen them (in the casinos as I was passing by the tables). Even though its a big town for news, there should still be a police blotter. Once of the skeptics may want to look at the 3 days after the incident and see if it is listed.

I realize absence of data is not proof of anything, but it would at least prove it the other way.
