Good answers Jim. I bet if you would have offered him double what he paid for the collection, (and he had accepted your offer honestly) you would have done very well. Since this dealer isn't a chip specialist I'd bet he paid very little for it. Assuming the collection wasn't stolen, it could have been the dealer acquired it from the heir of a collector who passed away. Unfortunately in our hobby, there isn't anyplace to liquidate a collection for a decent price unless the seller is willing to spend a great amount of time and effort in selling it.
