It is a USB scanner. It worked great for about a year then all of a sudden I started getting a "scanner not connected" message. The new scanner I bought today I'm getting the same message. The scanner is showing in the devise manager. We have a pent 3 800, 256 megs of RAM. Running Windows 98 2nd. Shouldn't be for lack of a good computer.
