Brenda and I loved Sharkey's when we attended two of Howdy & Kregg Herz' chip shows at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden a few years ago.

Sharkey's is a throwback to the casinos of yesterday ... like in a time warp. Some real characters hang out there. Would-be cowboys with knives in their boots! No kiddin'.... I recall watching one of the locals playing slots while waiting for Brenda come out of the ladies room just before getting to leave. "Got a problem Bud...?" he asked. My reply was a courteous "No sir...." while I wandered off to find something else to look at behind the clear plastic curtain!
