It is my understanding that if you make a revision to an eBay listing prior to getting bids, you can actually change your descripition field without eBay making note of this change. After a bid has been placed you can add information at the bottom of your listing and it will state that the information was added and when. You cannot, under any circumstances, change the pricing, reserve, buy it now, or other money related terms of the original listing. In order to do this, you must cancel the auction and relist.
The seller in question here has many discrepancies in his listing and following arguements. Based on this alone, I personally, would never deal with him/her (never even gave a name on answer to my inquiry about auction).
