I have found that even on bubble mailers it doesn't hurt to put extra tape on the flap and to reinforce the ends.
More than once have I received envelopes where the contents were about to come out of them.
In most of these cases, the culprit had been the sharp plastic edges of either flips or plastic album page sections.
