Why subscribe to Las Vegas Advisor?

If you don't subscribe to LVA, take a look at what you get in the coupon book in the way of discounts and freebies. The 2002 book is just out and available to subscribers. Here's what the publisher says about it:

The 2002 Pocketbook of Values coupon package is done, here, and available. Here are the highlights

This year, a total of 52 properties participated in our coupon program; last year there were 39 (a 25% increase). This year’s POV contains 130 coupons, compared to 90 last year (a 30% increase). In a breakdown by category, the 2002 package has 13 room coupons, compared to eight in 2001; 16 buffet coupons, compared to 13 last year; 25 general dining deals, nine more than last year; 39 gambling coupons, also nine more than 2001; and 11 show discounts, compared to five.

In buffets, we lost 2-for-1s at the New Frontier and Lady Luck (Express), but picked up the Rio’s seafood buffet, and the buffets at Green Valley Ranch, Texas Station, and Gold Coast. How’s that for a trade!

The show category also rocks. The Rio gave us a coupon for two tickets to The Scintas-a $100 value, absolutely free to members. Also, the Sahara ponied up with 2-for-1s at either of its great shows, Steve Wyrick or The Rat Pack is Back. And Harrah’s came through with 2-for-1s to Clint Holmes, Skintight, and the “Improv.”

Some of the other “gems” include a good new car-rental deal from Allstate, a buy-two-get-the-third-night-free for a room at the new Green Valley Ranch Station, a 2-for-1 entree at upscale Josef’s in Desert Passage, powerful blackjack coupons at all of the Coast properties, and some slick instant-comp offers from Arizona Charlie’s.

Finally, this year we succeeded in negotiating what we call a “master coupon,” a single coupon that, if you extract its maximum value, will pay for the cost of your LVA membership all by itself: an all-purpose 50%-off, up to a maximum of $50 at the Palms.
