Well--remember when my compaq laptop hard drive fried 3 months back? Guess what--ANOTHER one is bad! I spent 5 hours on the phone with the tech support staff on friday evening trying to get it back. I have had nothing but trouble with this compaq--bad monitor...bad sound card...2 bad hard drives...and a DVD that hiccups every 5 minutes. Not to mention that the retail price has come down from $2,400.00 to $1,299 in the 10 months I have owned it.

So, those of you that have posted about laptops...steer clear of compaq. The smart people learn from other people mistakes. It sure was a major mistake for me to buy a compaq laptop. Did I mention that they refuse to exchange it..or even give me a loaner while they fix this one again?
