Thanks for the post Dennis. The chip is not mine, but belongs to an east coast chipper who loaned it to me to scan. An inquiry made to the casino revealed that 20,000 fifty centers were delivered to Resorts in 1978. We are told that the chips were only on the tables for a few days when they were withdrawn from play. The chips were supposed to have been all destroyed at an armored car bay at Resorts and since there is no liability on the books for fifty cent chips ... none are recorded as being outstanding.

If anyone knows of any other .50¢ Resorts chips in other collections, I would be happy to hear about them.
