Jack, my own policy is that I am responsible for you not receiving the shipment. I have always made good with a lost item, either by re-sending another of the same item if available, or a refund of money.

As far as I know, all the mail order houses work the same way.
I have always disagreed with the normal policy Ebay users use, which is making the recipient responsible for the shipment unless he pays insurance.
