If you read the article again, you will notice that grading was only one of many factors listed, and then it was the very last one listed.
Of equal concern are things like the ever increasing issuing of "limited edition" chips that never see table play, and increasingly only available to a select few "insiders" who increase the cost to those collectors who are interested in these items.
Yet I see no organized group opposing this form of greed either on the casinos part or those who are trying to corner the market on these collectibles.
Are their things that could be improved in this hobby? Yes. Is grading one of them. Perhaps.
But to only single that out of many areas that could be improved I think is a mistake.
