Next time you're in a casino, go to the cage and tell the person on the other side of the counter that you want a $100 check. ...after they ask you why they should write you a check for $100, you can then explain to him or her that their chips aren't chips.
The word "chip" has been standard in the casino industry for many decades. The word has been standard for people who specialize in collecting them from the beginning. The phrase "he cashed his chips in" has been around longer than I've been alive. When people talk about chips in relation to casino items, they aren't talking about Fritos!
I just think it's time that the ANA got with the program.
