I am an avid student of the sport of drag racing. I live and breathe it. I only went to 12 NHRA events this year. I hope to double that total in 2002.

I had NO idea that Dick Allard used to race a fuel digger! Too cool! I did a little research and found his "pedigree", the numbers for his best pass.

5.890 seconds at 243.90 MPH. That was in a Keith Black hemi powered Top Fuel dragster with "Sundowners" as the name of the car (or the sponsor) run back in 1982 somewhere in New Hampshire of all places!

This is me at the wheel of a 2002 35th Anniversary SS Camaro driving the man down the strip in Indianapolis this year, during pre-race opening ceremonies for the US Nationals. That was really fun!
