I am not a token collector, I agree that because of the similarity between tokens and coins a better argument for slabbing can be made for tokens. EXCEPT:
As I understand it, token collectors do not commonly accept the coin grading system for tokens. Like Chips there is no commonly accepted grading standard and therefore any claim to certify a grade of a token is inherently dishonest since there is no standard to certify it against.
Condition is a factor to both chip and token collectors, however neither appear to be concerned with the miniscule issues that coin collectors raise therefore it appears that tokens collectors are more closely connected to chip collectors than they are coin collectors.
