While playing poker the other night at the Orleans, one of the players became aware that I collect chips (this usually only takes about 5 minutes). He told me that he was a past employee of the Castaways and was on-hand the last day of operation (he was a BJ dealer). Although he may not have been in a position to know (beyond a doubt) he is convinced that the Castaways only had a single rack (100 chips) of the TCR N1445 $500 Bud Jones, blue w/3-lt. blue inserts, CIC chip.
He went on to say that he worked there for quite sometime, and during that time that rack only came out once.
Again, as dealer he may not have been privy to such information, however, he was very adamant and certain of this information. He also recalls having one (they were given out as souvenirs on closing day to employees), but he has since given his away.
These numbers (100) do not correlate with the R-3 value (371-750) assigned by the C/W guide.
This is just another source of information that may or may not be correct.
