So far we have 11 people interested in committing themselves to the likes of the following suggestion. Won't you please join us.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would like to start a list of chippers willing to sell current issued chips for face value plus $1.00
shipping.
This list is not made to compete with the new chip service providers of Las Vegas, Reno,
Colorado, Washington State or Atlantic City who are doing us all a great service by providing
us with new chips from their area.
This is strictly directed to people living in areas other than those mentioned above who do not
necessarily live in areas saturated by card rooms who issue chips for every occasion or
constantly change their racks.
If one is interested in making a profit from their fellow chippers, then this idea will not appeal to
you. This is not say you don't deserve to make a profit for the extra work involved, but I have
concluded (as have many others,) that I have made much more of a profit by just selling and
likewise receiving chips at face than I could ever make by charging $2.00 or $3.00 dollars extra
for a chip from a casino in my area that might issue a few new chips a year.
I don't know just how this idea will go over. Some that practice this procedure may not want to
provide this opportunity to everyone. It is possible that some that sign up don't live anywhere
near a casino and others may not wish to have them included since they cannot reciprocate.
The list may just get too long. Personally, I'd be satisfied if just one person committed
themselves to this proposal.
Let me know if you are interested. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
I would like the same procedure for people who trade slot cards and keys.
