Just got back from Isle of Capri Boonville Missouri! Talk about backwoods, oh my God! I come from the same town as Greg so I know backwoods! First of all there’s no direct route to the casino, you must drive through town in order to get to the casino! They spared no expense on the casino signs once you get off of I70 (these things are about 2X4 feet in size, blue and you will pass by them if you’re not looking for them!) I got there around 10:30 and there was a line of 100+ people waiting in line to get their slot club card. FYI if you’re from Kansas City, get you current card updated in KC before you go, It will save you a lot of time). After getting the slot club card, you walk up to the admission area. Get this, a security guard stands in front of you blocking the entry way until your card is accepted (the human turnstile!) Next, It was like pulling teeth getting chips. I went to the first cashier (she couldn’t sell me but 5 1-dollar chips, 2 50-cent chips and a few 5-dollar chips). Of course this took 15 minutes for the cashier to figure out how to count out chips (and a 15-minute wait to get to the cashier window). Finally, if by chance you want to cash chips back in, you must go back to the main cage and wait in line another 15 minutes. I now go to another cashier window, This cashier refuses to sell me any chips and tells me that the main window cashiers can’t sell chips! Here’s the breakdown on the chips. Isle of Capri currently has 50 cent, 1 dollar, 5 dollar, 25 dollar, and 100 dollar chips (no $2.50 or grand opening chips). However the casino is small but nice!
