Never thought I would hear of it again. When I first got out of college I worked for the Milwaukee Road and we went thru Deer Lodge, Mt on the way to Tacoma, Wa. We even had a repair shop there. I don't think I have heard the name mentioned since leaving there in 1982! Still waiting to hear from Avery, ID which railroad personnel referred to as the armpit of America. Don't know why since you couldn't get any closer to God's country if you tried. I guess it was just out in the middle of nowhere.
