That sorta makes sense though. AOL (through TW Cable) already owns Roadrunner, so they have all the infrastructure in place.

AT&T bought Mediaone who also used to own part of Roadrunner with Microsoft so they probably still even have connectivity between RR and the AT&T data centers.

In the end there will only be 1 ISP anyway... (along with 1 bank, one cable company, and if Demolition man is right, 1 fast food chain).
