I personally think its a lousy marketing strategy to inconvenience customers who you know are going to be staying at the property. It isn't like people checking into a casino hotel don't know there's a casino. The Isle of Capri in Black Hawk Colorado is the same way.
The two times I've stayed at the Aladdin, check-in was a breeze, the hotel elevators are right there, and no hotel room is more than 7 doors from an elevator. It really was a nice change. I'd dump my luggage in the room, and head for the London Club. I really like that room!
