I thought that was the idea of having to go through a casino...create the excitement the moment you walk through the door. So then everyone will stop and play. Or at least run upstairs drop-off your luggage and come back down.

That's one of the problem with the Aladdin...the welcomed move percieved by some, to design the casino that way, has taken money from the business.
