I, also will never buy from this chipper. However, I do admire his truthfulness and his up-front attitude. As someone else previously said, he is not trying to put a "spin" on his shipping charges.

As a part-time (although not a recent) seller via Ebay, I know the work and cost involved in selling an item at auction. I believe most of us put items on Ebay for the enjoyment of it, and not necessarily for the small amount of profit that may be earned for the time and effort involved.

In truth, although I would never pay it, I believe that paying $4.00 or $5.00 or even slightly more for a $1.00 chip is not exorbitant if the seller is also not a collector, in business full-time, and not a member of our club/bulletin board.

The above statement may seem contridictory to some of my past postings on the subject, but I don't believe so.

Keep in mind that the seller in this case is up front with his charges and it is our decision as to whether or not we wish to buy from him.
