All of the "items" being awarded at the tournament and for the hand-paid jackpots state their value as $10 redeemable. So do the one-pounders, stated as $200 redeemable.
Lost in the shuffle is that the Flamingo is also issuing two $200 one-pounders this weekend as well as putting four new $10 strikes (limited to 1750 per strike) in play. The four strikes are the beginning of a series of 12 called "Join the Fun". The next eight will be issued about one per month or so. I believe that these one-pounders are trade for items, at the rate of 20 for one. A third $200 one-pounder is planned shortly for the Flamingo. As of now, these are not limited to a certain production number. O'Sheas $200 is limited to 400.
And The Orleans has received its new set of four 'Gator strikes which are in the jewelry (display) box of the silver strike machines although they may not yet be actually in the machine itself. Mentioning the Gaming Commission and requesting a representative usually cures that problem.
Question: How does the Gaming Commission designate "silver strikes" on the approval list? Wouldn't their definition, if any, be quite helpful in this debate?
