Marv; You raise some very valid points in your post. What I've expressed in my bb posts are my personal opinions as a silver strike collector and have nothing to do with my role as COTY/TOTY/SSOTY Chairman. If/when that possibility arises regarding the O'Shea's "Silver Tournament Strike" I'll have to deal with it at that time and get a ruling from the club officers.
"If these tokens are approved from gaming and have a redeemable value then I will be placing them too in my price guide of "SILVER PREMIUM GAMING TOKENS"."
Does anyone have an illustration of this controversial token? If so, please post. It may answer a lot of unanswered questions and speculation.
"I read from Janel Cole's post regarding the tournament that everyone entered will receive a $10 Silver Strike limited to 150. However, I am not so sure what the token for the 50 top placers will be. Her letter didn't not state whether or not that this token would have a value. If not it will not be included in the guide."
Excellent point Marv! How about asking for a scan from Janel?
"Archie, I want to ask you if YOU do not accept these O'Shea's tokens as Silver Strikes are they eligible to be entered into the the CLUB's TOKEN OF THE YEAR contest aside from the Silver Strike Chapter SILVER STRIKE OF THE YEAR?"
Marv; It is my understanding that the Silver Strike Token Of The Year contest will be administered by the CC & GTCC this year ... and not the Silver Strike Chapter. If that is incorrect, please advise. But to answer the first part of your question ... I would have to see the actual tokens first ... or images of them.
