Although not directly chip related to everyone else, it is to me. Recently, someone gave me a used lap-top, which I wanted to be able to get to the web with when I travel. Here is the problem...............

When I logon to the net, I get a message to "contact content manager", indicating someone set it up to require a pass-word. Having no idea what the pass-word, is and no way of finding out, I would like to correct the problem without formatting the hard drive (which I can't do anyway because I don't have the software for the modem, etc.). My question is...............If I load my copy of Windows, will this over-wright the former copy???
