It's hard to tell about the value, Bud, since 1,500 isn't a low production number. It wasn't an especially difficult chip to obtain. But some (including me) view the chip as being more significant than Air Races chips of previous because the event was canceled.

I recently listed this Air Races chip from the Reno Hilton, of which only 400 were made. This was a tougher one to acquire, at least for me.
