I'll explain it to you since I laid off the bet I am taking you trying to lower the bet better than I would have otherwise.......
What is WRONG with it is that we made a $100 bet. If you don't bet again then fine, BUT if you DO bet again then it is common courtesy to bet the SAME amount you started with when you are betting with an individual & in THIS case we only had ONE more bet to go which would have been the World Series. That does not mean EVERY bet we ever made in life would be for a $100......It DOES mean that since this was the LAST bet of the Baseball Playoffs then the last bet should be the SAME amount as the previous bet. For example, if you & I were playing pool at $100 a game & you won the FIRST game then the next game would STILL be for a $100 or double or nothing. If you won the second game then it is not double or nothing it stays at $100 a game for however many games we play. For you to LOWER the bet in that situation is a C.S.M. & you are what we refer to in the pool world as a "NIT" which by the way is my new nickname for you. Like I said before.......Enjoy the $100 because it will be the last bet we ever make. I don't have ANY problem with losing & as you & Bob saw I pay whatever I lose VERY fast. I DO have a problem when someone TRIES to lower the bet on me & thinks they are being cute about it. Andy - Las Vegas
