On the 24 of October 2001 the Government of Switzerland has decided who gets the 21 Casino licenses. 20 projects where refused and turned down.
They also made a difference with a A and a B concession.
The A concessions, are the bigger casino's with unlimited wagering and unlimited payouts.
The A concessions :
- Baden : Stadtcasino Baden 51% /Joy Management 49%
- Basel/Airport : 100% Groupe Tranchant
- Bern : Casino Austria 45%/Kursaal Bern AG 55%
- Lugano : 62.6% Town of Lugano, rest small parts
- Luzern : Casino Austria 45%/City of Luzern 55%
- Montreux : 69% Groupe Barrière/13% Town of Montreux/18% small parts
- St. Gallen : 30% Casino Austria/70% Swiss Casino

The B concessions, are the smaller, kursaal like places, with limited wagering, limited payout and limited Jackpots which are NOT linked.
The B concessions :
- Arosa : 10% Saarland Spielbanken Gmbh/60.65% P. Cunti/29.35% small parts
- Bad Ragaz : 33% ACE Casino Holding AG/66%Thermalbäder
- Crans Montana : 80% Groupe de Divonne/ 20% Towns of Valais
- Courrendlin : 60% Accor Suisse/40% small parts
- Davos : 19% ACE Casino Holding AG/81% Davos Touristboard
- Freiburg : 100% Accor
- Interlaken : 20% Saarland Spielbanken Gmbh/80% Casino Kursaal Interlaken AG
- Mendrisio : 100% ACE Casino Holding AG
- Meyrin : 100%Cie Casinos Holding SA (CEC Paris)
- Muralto : 100% Grand Casino SA Zurich
- Pfäffikon : 30% Casino Austria/70% Swiss Casino
- Schaffhausen : 30% Casino Austria/70% Swiss Casino
- St. Moritz : 50% Casino Austria/50% Swiss Casino
- Zermatt : 50% Saarland Spielbanken Gmbh/50% Town of Zermatt

The next 20 projects where refused :
Grand Casino Basel,Casino Palace Biel, Casino La Chaux de Fonds, Casino Mittelland, Casino Engelberg,Casino de la Sarine Fribourg, Casino de Genève, Casino Chesery Gstaad, Grand Casino Lausanne, Grand Casino di Locarno, Casino du Lac, Kursaal Rheinfelden, Casino de Saxon, Casion Sion, Casino Kursall Thun, Casino Weggis, Casino Yverdon les Bains, Grand Casino Zurich Airport, Casino Zurich, Grand Casino Zentrum Zurich Nord.

So I guess I have my work cut out if I have to visit them all. They do not have the €, they have their own good old Swiss Franc. So now wait and see, that the older ones (who did not get a license) close and the new ones open.
