I'm working on some research related to Del Webb Corp's ownership of the Thunderbird. Del Webb purchased it in 1964 and operated it until selling it to Caesars World in either 1972 (one source) or 1967 (according to dates in TCR).
I'm trying to determine which type of chips were in use during the Del Webb period of ownership of the Thunderbird.
It appears that the HHR series of chips were put into play by Caesars ownership, so it must precede these chips. My best guess is that the C&J/hat&cane chips from the 1950's (date per TCR) were kept in play after Del Webb bought the Thunderbird in 1964 (instead of ordering new chips).
Any info on which chips were used during the Del Webb ownership of the Thunderbird would be appreciated. Thanks.
