Before habnd they announced that you would not be allowed to bring bags into the stadium.
On entering everyone was frisked (they used to frisk you lightly looking for alcohol, but they made you remove your cap and empty your pockets now.
After being frisked you were then run over with those metal detecting wands.
I have no doubt that this security was largely ineffective but it put on a show to appease people.
This was my first game since the attacks, but I believe these rules were put in place as soon as baseball resumed.
Lisa Beamer was at the game and received cheers equaled only by Derek Jeter.
While waiting to get in we met a guy from Colombus Ohio who was wearing Emergency Worker Tags, he told us that the Yankees were allowing anybody wearing the tags in for free where there were available seats. He got in, but I doubt that there were many available seats.
There were no Blimps.
