Oh Tyrus, I know how much disapointment you are going through. Something similar happened to us one time.
We were getting ready to buy what you might call our "Dream Home". It was larger and more expensive than what we ever thought we could have ever afforded, but business was good, the price was right and they accepted our contract.
We were so excited. We drove by the thing twice a day for a month dreaming about what it was going to be like to live there.
We went to the closing and after 2 hours and many, many hassles later, the seller's ex-wife refused to sign off on the deal. This guy had more mortgages on the house than you could shake a stick at, in fact, he had to bring money to the closing just to sell it.
That was on a Friday, and when we left the closing we figured we'd probably not get the house. But, Sunday the lawyer called saying he had all the signatures necessary and we went in that afternoon and closed the deal.
We got lucky. I wish you luck with your transaction. LMK if I can do anything on the net for you while your computer is tied up.
