In my opinion anything over face is too much for me. But that is just me. I know that this is a free market society and that is not my point.
The fact that we all know collectors that can pay much more than others for a chip just because they want it does not make the chips worth more to me.There will always be people willing to pay more than others. If we allow them to price us out of the hobby they will.

This is why I like to collect ANY roulette chip. There's no face value so I know I'm paying "too much."
