Hi all!
Just wanted to bounce something off you...curious about your opinions on this...
I recently attended a home and garden show near Sacramento this past weekend. There was a booth there where people were selling American flags...pins and T-shirts. I stopped to buy one of their flags. While waiting to pay for it, I notice their T-shirts. On the front is an Amercan flag, and "God bless America." Superimposed on those is a picture of the WTC towers.
I said, "That has got to be the most offensive "patriotic propaganda" that I have seen so far." So the person running the booth had to comment and of course I had to comment back. Details of that conversation are unimportant.
After the incident, I was told that I was out of line and that I shouldn't have said anything. The people in the booth have a right to express themselves in that matter..blah, blah.
I said, "So do I."
Was I out of line? Should I have just kept my mouth shut?
Katie
P.S. I didn't buy a flag from them either.
