To continue with this mornings post...Thurs night trading session at the Palace Station was OK not to many of us showed up, but those that did had a good time. The show on Friday was good for me. I found a few chips that filled some long empty holes both with purchases & trades. I even made a purchase from a local empolyee of one of the Casinos that got me that evasive $20 MGM jeton. (Bob Hermans got the $10 he needed)Lisa Jung was the bussiest dealer at the show. Silver Strikes are popular. (I could be wrong but it looked like she always had someone at her table) I think most of the dealers did OK under the circumstances. There was a lot of trading going on between dealers most of the day. All in all for me it was a good show...chips & collectors everywhere. We passed out some anti-slabbing literature and got to know some collectors we had never met before.
The highlight of the show was an American Flag pin given to me by another collector (who will remain nameless) that had 911 on it. Thank you, I have worn it every day since I have had it. The weeks travels didn't amount to much...The Reserve had new Win Cards chips...The 4 Queens had a few $1 LE's mixed in with the reg rack chips on the craps table. Had a nice visit with Bill & Janice at the Gamblers General Store & found a few chips I needed there also. Security at the airport Sunday morning was tight & having to be there early allowed me to play the Silver Strike machines on the D concourse. $70 got me 11 strikes and that was the conclusion of a good trip.
