I have only purchased items on e-bay. I haven't sold, or attempted to sell anything on e-bay - no time, and I also let my re-sale license expire a few years ago...
Also I understand that the Franchise Tax board (at least here in California) is looking at and auditing sellers that live in California so that they can "collect" the taxes on sales made to California residences...
