I will add that not only am I a proud second generation American, a daddy and a veteran but am also an American of Japanese ancestry.
I know what panic can do; I was born in a concentration camp that was euphemistically referred to as a "relocation center" during WWII.
Why? Because we looked different. What if ther terrorists were European?

Who would people fear and confine then?
