Duke, Sorry, perhaps Andy or I should have given a little background. BARGE stands for Big August Rec Gambline Excursion. It is basically a large group (200+) of poker players who meet in Las Vegas every August to talk poker, play poker, and have fun together. The group originated from the newsgroup rec.gambling, but it's mostly people from rec.gambling.poker now. We create a chip set each year (usually the winner of the no-limit Hold em tournament gets to design the chips). The purple chips are special, however, and are made in VERY small quantities. You can't buy them. They are given to the "special" people who make BARGE what it is. The BCC is simply a comittee that formed in 2001 when it was apparent that the last tournament winner was not going to assist in producing chips, nor was the prior year's winner. We stepped in and got the hjob done, and will be there in case any future winners need us to assist in the design, production or distribution processes. You can find out more on my Web site http://www.scottro.com (go to the BARGE info section).
You can also email me personally if you have any additional questions.
