Just back from a 5 day vacation, I had a great time. Went to see Janice O'Neal @ The General Store. I bought some chips and mentioned I was on my way downtown, and her husband Jerry offered to drive me the 7-8 HOT blocks!!!! THANK YOU Jerry and Janice, that was very kind!
Jerry dropped me off at the 4 Queens so I could check out the end of the Poker Tourney. I didn't see Andy Hughes in the crowd (or at the final table :-), so I moved into the casino to see if I could meet "The General". I didn't see him at the craps table so I moved on to Binion's.
At Binion's I was the second person (according to the woman at the cage) to pick up the new 50th Ann. chips. I Felt like a Las Vegas local dealer!!!!!
Also went to see Steve Cutler's Hall of Fame in the Trop. WOW what a great collection. (Steve you might want to take a little Windex to those glass cases, I might have left a little drool there)
Of course as with any other vegas trip, 100's of memories to take home, and to many to list here, but I want to say everyone was very upbeat and positive about getting back to "normal" I did my best to help out the local economy!!!!!
I also found THE BEST Nightclub in all of Vegas. Just down Paradise road from the Hardrock is The Double Down Salon. A great hole-in-the-wall with the best juke box I ever saw (The Ramones to NOFX to The Clash to Louis Prima to Frank Sinatra) Great drinks like "Ass Juice" served "Ass Cold", "Rat Pi**" which I was told is back by popular demand. Lots of fun!!!! Didn't wake up until 10:00 am the next morning, and missed half a days shot of the Hawaiian Tropic 2003 Calander shoot :-(
I wish I could have meet some to the people from here on the board, but that will have to wait until the next CC>CC convention! (I am working on the wife for a short 3 trip in Feb :-)
Thanks Again Vegas!!!
Todd & Debbie Barrett #5068 and Damn Proud of it :-)
